About Council
What is your purpose?
The Congregational Council provides leadership and oversight for the life and activities of Lord of Life, in particular its worship life. To do this we support the work of and encourage participation in the activities of our various committees and groups. We are responsible for the securing staff, other than Pastor, and also for overseeing the other financial and property matters of the congregation.
Tell us who you are:
Thad Fisher – Pastor
Ken Olson – President
Marsha Einhorn – Vice President
Barb James – Treasurer
Lori Schaar – Secretary
John Bibby – Financial Secretary
Herm Scharm – Personnel
Dave Johnson and Larry Coltrin - Members at Large
When do you meet?
Third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.
What Experience you do need?
No specific training or experience is required; however, council represents the interests of all members of the congregation. In order to do this, members need to have a solid spiritual foundation and we hope to have a broad range of life experiences among the council. Members need to communicate well with all segments of our congregation, listen carefully to others and have good decision making skills. A strong commitment to the mission of Lord of Life is needed and a working knowledge of the ELCA is very helpful. A commitment of several hours per month is required.
To help out, or if questions, I should contact:
All members of Council welcome the opportunity to visit with you, but you may want to contact: Ken Olson (President)

One of our new goals for this year is…
To lead a smooth transition for Pastor Thad and meet the spiritual needs of our members.
What is the best part about (your group)?
The dedication and commitment that each individual on Council has to the well-being of Lord of Life. Each member willingly shares their unique individual skill set with council. This allows us to serve Lord of Life most effectively.
