Giving Opportunities

Special Giving
Through out the year we have special giving opportunities highlighted by various groups from selling cookies in the narthex for a mission trip, the Chili Supper proceeds that go to Pastor Mathius in El Salvador, special giving to the quilters for material, and various youth group fund raisers. 

Benevolence Fund
We have several mission programs that support those less fortunate. Our 5 Advent charities,  El Salvador Hope House, El Salvador Pastor Mathius, prayer blanket ministry, and the quilt/layettes ministry are a few of the many programs that are generously supported by the members of Lord of Life. 

Capital Fund
Currently we have no debt but are planning to enlarge our facilities in the future. Our primary needs are for an elevator, an upstairs nursery and additional meeting rooms. A multi-purpose facility / gym would be a great addition for our youth and community. 

Memorial Fund
Gifts to the Memorial Fund can be designated for a specific gift to the church, assisting a church group, such as the CIA, or assisting with a non-budgeted expense of the church. If the gift is in memory of a member, the member’s family may designate how it is to be used. 

Wish List
From time to time various special items are identified that our Pastor, a committee or an individual would like to see purchased for the church that are not included in our annual budget. Usually this is considered an “extra item” that members are willing to purchase or have made for the church. Some of the more visible examples are the processional cross, banners, stained glass windows and the new tables.

Endowment Fund
Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested so that the corpus continues to grow and only interest earnings are distributed for mission. The fund provides funding for the mission of Christ's Church through special ministries in our community, synod, and throughout the nation and the world.

Growth/Reserve Fund
Members contribute regularly to this fund to support future growth of our facilities, major maintenance to our facilities and to build up an emergency fund.   

General Fund
Members contribute regularly to support our monthly expenses of operating the church and paying our staff.
